I purchased this as one of my items, in the AMAZON 4 for 3 promotion. I purchased the "lasgna lovers" and "9x9" and the casserole dish. In addition to the bubble & brown set.

The smaller pan is perfect for melting cheese dips, or making a quick "family" size fruit crisp. I used mine for making a pan of shrimp francese. I could see using this for oven steaming veggies too.

The large dish is great for baking family size chicken dinners, or meatloaf.

The double size pot holder handles, are a perfect touch. They actually work!

I would certainly suggest after use, soaking your dishes in hot soapy water. The dishwasher on certain settings may be too hot. They clean easily and look great.

NO serving trays required. Straight from oven to table "in style".

I like the cut 'n catch feature of this board. It's a good idea to place something like that in a cutting board, and you'll find that it saves you lots of time in the kitchen. If you are buying it simply for the board and don't care about the cut 'n catch feature, I wouldn't get this board, since there are plenty of good boards already the market with superior cutting features.

I've had this cuttig board for 12 years. It sits on the counter between my sink and my stove top. I use it as a counter top as well as a cutting board. I've carved on it, butchered on it, repaired appliances on it, set hot pans on it, spilled all manner of stuff on it, and I wouldn't trade it for any other. I do have the perfect space for this board, and the catch tray is a great idea; I don't know what I'd do without it. I prepare 15 to 20 meals a week on this board.

I oil it when I remember, clean it with a wipe down or soap and water as needed. It has stayed acceptably attractive, and is just as functional as the day I got it. I recommend this cutting board for heavy use.

I do like the design of this product. The trays are a great addition to a cutting board. On a practical side, its is a little long for most kitchens. Four to Six inches shorter would still be a usable cutting board workspace, and would fit much better on most kitchen counter tops. The trays hold about 5 cups, it would be nice if they were graduated in some way to measure smaller quantities. The real problem is, after only 3 months, the boards are starting to come apart (unglued)! And this is after religiously rubbing it down with mineral oil since the day I received it.

We received this as a gift maybe 4 years ago. We absolutely love it.

Pros:
* Beautiful wood box
* Box keeps everything contained
* Corkscrew pull is so easy - you don't have to be a wine expert.

Cons:
* The foil cutter is getting a little dull and one of the blades popped off (we popped it back on) - but not that big of a deal to take away a star.

We mainly use the foil cutter, the corkscrew pull, and I'm not sure about the pourer thingy (whatever its called). There is a ring that you can put over the neck of the bottle to absorb any drips. We've used those previously but not from this box - I'm sure its ok.

We love it and would buy it for ourselves. In fact, we enjoy getting this as a gift for our friends.

This product does its job well - nothing amazing, nothing wrong.

OUR NEEDS: After just a month or two with our Canon T3i, we found we really needed an AC adapter. For some people, they will need an AC adapter if taking pics from one spot for long periods of time (wedding photoshoots and the like). For us, the problem was the awesome Eye-Fi feature.

We have our T3i set to automatically upload pictures to an online drop-box when it's in range of our home wireless network. While this solved the problem of remembering to upload pictures to a safe place, it created the problem that the Eye-Fi upload feature ate our battery alive - especially when uploading video. Rather than constantly have a dead battery when you're wanting to grab the camera and leave the house, you can now come home, plug your camera into the AC adapter, and set the battery to recharge. Then, when you're ready to leave the house again, you have uploaded pics AND a ready-to-go battery.

PROS:

* This does the job.

* In more detail, one cord attaches from an outlet to the adapter box, the adapter box then attaches by a smaller cord to a battery-pack adapter. The battery-pack adapter slides into the battery slot on the camera. The battery slot has a little rubber hinge on the side that allows room for the AC adapter cord.

* As mentioned above, we can now upload for as long as it takes to get our video and pics off the Eye-Fi card, all without eating up the battery and having to recharge a dozen times inbetween.

CONS:

* This set up is fiddly.

* More specifically, with the extra cords and battery adapter having to come in and out, it's just not as slick a set-up as I'd like. Ideally, I would not have to take the battery OUT every time we came home to do uploads. Ideally, I would love a docking station of sorts that would both act as AC adapter AND charge the battery at once. Of course, this isn't ideal, but it gets the job done.

SUMMARY: I'd really give this more of a 4.5 stars - not that there's anything wrong with it. It's just kind of a fiddly thing to fill our needs.

I had 5x8, oval hooked rug in my sun room for the last 15 years or so, and decided I wanted a change. For less than $160, including the freight I got a gorgeous rug. Don't forget to get a pad of some sort as well. I am as happy with this product as I have ever been with any purchase.....ever!

I ordered this HOME DYNAMIX ROYALTY AREA RUG to use in my home office. It arrived rolled and carefully packaged -- when I unrolled it and placed it on the floor it settled beautifully (no odd wrinkles to contend with). The colors are actually more striking than they appear in the picture (burgundy, black, and tan are the primary colors) -- some of the squares are "tweedy," but most are solid color. The black border is very nice and gives the rug good definition.

The rug has a mesh-like backing which makes it slip-proof -- I'm using it on a hardwood floor and it doesn't move at all (no need for a pad or a liner).

I definitely recommend this for a quick and inexpensive update to any room in your home. I can't say how long it will last (I've only had it since yesterday!), but it's hard to add this much color to a room for so little money.

I love this carpet, It adds a very nice touch to my room, and I love the feel of it under my feet. The colours are not quite as vibrant as in the picture, but that's not a big problem.
What was a problem, was after a few days of having the carpet in my room, I started coughing. This persisted for a few days before we decided to try and put the carpet out on the porch for awhile. The night the carpet was taken out of my room, I already slept better. It could be just me being allergic to some chemical they spray on the rugs, but if you start coughing, just leave it out for awhile.

Has a ON/OFF switch on the edge. I would have preferred without switch as the switches are weak points. The switch looks a bit weak, but I am not planning to use it.

The product works fine, but it fails to mention on amazon that this is 175 watts PEAK. On the device it reads 130 watts continuous, 175 watts peak. I bought this to charge my dell lattitude work laptop in my car and even with the laptop powered off it is unable to charge it. My laptop requires 150 watts so I thought I'd be covered with 175 but 130 isn't enought to get it done. I've been able to find other uses for it, and it works fine for charging camera batteries and handheld devices, but the ad is a little misleading.

Update: After re-reading the description, it does say "up to 100 watts compatability", but I still feel that should have been mentioned in the first line right next to "175". Still misleading, but I didn't read carefully enough.

I got the toshiba L505-6946 - can't see on amazon - difference is that it has 2.0 mhz intel chip and no seperate graphics card. very happy with the machine, and having shopped around a lot, nothing near the price with same specs (Aug 09). I bought it partly based on my previous toshiba and this one has been good so far. toshiba generally adds some good software and functionality from the company. no issues at all, so can't comment on customer support. on the down side, laptop is about 6 pds - bit heavy but that's what you expect for this price and 16 inch, so depends on what you attach the most importance to. Screen has a really beautiful picture and clarity, which was my main concern. no speed issues even with vista, once i cleared all the muck out of the start-up.

main complaints (which is why i am writing this review, actually):
- speaker output really poor, especially if playing music/videos.
- microphone quality basically unusable.

so, if i want to use skype or decently watch videos/music, i need to carry good external headset, something i did not want to do. the sound output and mic on my work HP is much much better. this has a camera, but i don't really need it as much as sound. in fairness, maybe not enough to drop a star for, considering the price, but does irritate me enough to only give 4 star, since this was a key part of my buying decision over a compaq that i saw on special...

I was looking for new technology, full size key board, big screen, software included at a great price and found it all with my new Toshiba satellite. At least that is what I thought when it arrived, however after using the Laptop I have several issues, sound quality and the fact it is only 32 bit and not 64 bit. I will have to buy external speakers for better sound as well as buy additional memory so for me more money as I can not return because my husband is a recycle freak and discarded the box. Learn from my mistake, ask questions before you buy especially about the operating system. I am on the Toshiba waiting list for the free upgrade to windows 7 however it could take 6 months before the software arrives. What i thought was a great deal turned into a slow road to building the machine I could have bought ready to go. Too bad for me.

I have several of these in use with no problems. That is more than I can say for most 1-TB and larger drives.

NOTE: This series of drives are NOT certified by Seagate or several RAID controllers manufacturers for RAID. If you have problems with this drive in RAID, it is your own fault and not a defect in the drive. If you do not understrand that RAID controllers have special demands on a disk drive, then you probably should not be using RAID.


Seagate ST3500514NS Review by Bflat Blues (California, United States)

This enterprise class drive was installed in a NAS RAID unit in which three other 2TB Western Digital enterprise class drives had been installed for about a year. The unit is accessed 24/7. The WD drives, after more than 10,000 hours, still have 0 reallocated sectors.

After initializing this Seagate drive in the NAS it showed 0 reallocated sectors. However within a couple of days it began to show several and then several more. The reallocated sector count growth may have stopped at that point, but I didn't want to take a chance. I returned the unit to Amazon and purchased another WD 2TB enterprise drive. This was about a month ago and the WD drive still has a reallocated sector count of 0.


Seagate ST3500514NS Review by Paul (Sanford, ME United States)

Added 5 of these to my new Synology DS1511+ and am very impressed with the write speed (100 mb/sec +). Previously purchased two of these for a workstation running VMWare ESXi and getting very nice performance. Will be buying 4 more of these to replace the 1TB drives in a Dell PowerEdge server. Oh, did I mention how satisfied I am with these drives? Yes, it costs more, and it's worth every cent.
